Barnard's petty jealousy

The real reason Tom Barnard hates ex-friend Jesse Ventura

Lashing back at what he called "despicable, grungy" attacks by Twin
Cities radio star Tom Barnard on him, his family and staff, MInnesota
Governor Jesse Ventura went on his own broadcast offensive against the
KQRS-FM host, according to the Minnesota Star-Tribune.

In interviews on KSTP-TV and KFAN-AM radio, the governor said the rift
dated to ill will over scheduling Ventura's radio appearances when he
was promoting his best-selling 1999 autobiography, I Ain't Got Time to
Bleed. "He has a big ego and he's very insecure," Ventura said of
Barnard on KFAN's The Common Man show. "Barnard wanted exclusivity.
Because I wouldn't give that to him, he's been attacking me ever
since," the paper quoted Ventura.

"He claims I'm a back-stabber and I never was a friend because no one
would do that to a friend. The point is: This isn't friendship; this is
business. . . . I can't pick and choose the media like that. It would
be completely unfair."

Last month, the long-simmering feud erupted with a full-page newspaper
ad for Barnard's top-rated Morning Show that sarcastically listed the
"Top 15 Things We Admire About Our Governor."
